Too Faced Better than False Lashes Extreme Mascara Review!

Hey everyone! Today i thought i would write about a mascara i purchased not too long ago! I've used it enough to gather my thoughts on it, so scroll down to see what i think!

By the way, I'm so obsessed with marble, its getting a bit excessive lol! I found this gorgeous phone case from Forever New! Back to the review! Lol!

Firstly, this mascara makes a huge claim! It claims to be 'better than false lashes'! I myself don't wear false lashes often as i have yet to find a set that compliments my smaller eyes. A lot of false lashes tend to droop my eyes and make me look tired, or the lashes will go over my brows which i cannot stand! I was super excited when i spotted this mascara in Mecca Maxima, i had to give it a try!

I will say, this mascara costs $55 AUD and this is the most i've spent on a mascara, so i had major high hopes for it!

This mascara is the first fiber mascara i have tried. If you are unfamiliar with this type of mascara, it is basically a mascara duo. It comes with a tube of fibers you apply to your lashes after using the mascara to 'prime' your lashes. You then go back over the layer of fibers with the mascara to seal them.

The first time using this mascara i was so excited! It made my lashes so much longer and thicker! This was the case for a few more applications during the next few weeks, though it slowly but surely failed to provide me with the same application. I started to notice it would clump up quickly and more often every time i used it. I also noticed it started to dry out dramatically. When i first opened the product, it was quite a wet formula, though now it is really rather dry. I know that mascara will not stay 'moist' forever, though it seemed to dry out much faster than i anticipated. Another thing i have noticed, is that it fails to hold the curl in my lashes, when i curl them with an eyelash curler. Now i do have hooded eyes, so it does give the mascara a run for its money, though i seemed to noticed my lashes staying curled for a shorter amount of time compared to regular mascaras.

Also, as this was my first fiber mascara, I'm not sure how well i can compare the problem of the fibers falling off the lashes and onto your cheeks, because while it does happen with this mascara duo, it is quite minimal.

Another point i want to mention is the time it takes to apply it. It really takes a long time to layer the mascara then the fibers etc. By the end of doing my makeup, the last thing i want to do is sit there for a long time layering my mascara to try to build it up. It is really hard to layer without clumping.

My final thoughts on the Too Faced 'Better than False Lashes -Extreme' are that its great when you first buy it, though it quickly turns into a regular mascara, that takes way to long to apply, to look really average. After layering and layering the fibers and mascara, the way it makes my lashes look, just doesn't justify the price tag. If a mascara costs $55 AUD it should provide a consistent application. I understand that fiber mascaras will take longer to apply, as there is an extra step involved. Though the end result isn't worth the amount of time and effort it takes to create it.

Have you tried this fiber mascara? What were your thoughts?

Leave your suggestions for some great mascaras down below!

Thank you for reading!
