Hey guys!

Todays post is going to be on my thoughts of the M.a.c Pro Longwear Paint Pot in the shade Painterly!

I purchased this product in the search of a great primer, which covers the veins and provides me with a smooth base, scroll down to read my thoughts!

I purchased this product in search of a great eye primer, and after listening to so many You-tubers talk about it for so long i finally purchased it.

The shade 'painterly' was the shade most appealing to me, as it was the closest shade to my skin tone i could find. I wanted a primer that would correct the slight veining i have on my eyelids.

Painterly Paintpot is a light skin tone colour, with pink undertones. Even though this shade is the lightest skin tone colour, and the one with pink undertones (soft ochre has yellow undertones), i still found it was quite a bit darker than my skin tone! I have super pale skin!

Once i have applied eye shadow, and once my foundation is on, the fact that it is quite dark against my natural skin tone is unnoticeable. I love how it smooths over any discolouration, and provides me with a base that is one colour (rather than blues from veins). The paint pot applies very creamy, but dries very fast so you have to blend quickly. When swatching the product on my hand, after i took a few snaps of the colour, i tried to blend in into my skin with no luck! It sets quickly, and it doesn't budge!

This product claims to be crease-proof! Which was another major reason why i was interested in it. For me personally, this product does crease, and even though it sets quickly, the shadows on top always end up creasing. Its a sad reality, as i love everything else about this product!

Even though this product creases, i still use it underneath another primer as i love how it evens my skin tone.

Do i think it is worth $35? For some people, maybe! But for me, no. I would say to go to a M.a.c store and get them to try it on you, wear it throughout the day and decide if you like it or not! I really had high hopes for it, but i cannot justify $35 on a product that doesn't do everything i am after.

Have you tried this product? What are your thoughts?

Tell me down below!

Thank you for reading!
