Hello again!
For todays post i thought I would talk about fake tanning! Since i am so fair, and the sun is extremely harmful to the skin, i occasionally self tan. I don't do it a lot, and i envy those girls who have a routine and do it regularly, but for me, it's just not an option! Most fake tanning products tend to look orange and muddy on my fair skin, and i have found it very difficult to find natural looking products in the past. I have since learnt that it is because of the choice of fake tan that i went with. Typically i would pick a random one that had pretty packaging, boy was that a bad decision!
I never researched into self tanning products, and therefore i never knew they came with different undertones. I found that i was choosing tanning products that were specifically made for those with olive skin tones, and my skin tone is far from olive!
After researching about self tanning products, i learnt about 'green base' products, which lead me to Bondi Sands Tanning Foam! The Bondi Sands tanning foam is $19.99 RRP, but it's almost always on sale at Priceline! Right now its on sale for $11.99!

Now, because i'm fair most people would recommend i start with the foam in 'light/medium', but if i'm going to self tan, i want to go all the way! I don't want a little hint of a tan, i want a tannnnn! Haha!
Firstly, the preparation to apply the tan begins usually a few days before i know i'm going to apply it. I will moisturise everyday and night in the days leading up to it (I should be moisturising everyday, but i'm lazy!). I always shave my legs the day before, but some people recommend a few days before, do as you wish!
The number one tip i can provide is to exfoliate well! And when you think you have exfoliated enough, do it again! I especially concentrate on the knees, ankles, elbows and around the hands, as this is the area where tan will cling to the most.
Also, the day you apply your self tan, leave the moisturisers out, as well as deodorant!
These will interrupt the self tan products!

This product comes out in a foam, which makes it extremely easy to blend into the skin. This particular tan, also has a colour guard, which means it goes on with a bronze colour, to show you where it has been applied. Self tanning foams are typically applied with a self tanning mitt, I use the ModelCo. one and love it!. I always start from the bottom of my legs, and work my way up. I use the leftovers on the tanning mitt, to go over my ankles and feet. I then go up my arms, and leave my chest and back until last as these areas usually need more attention. Usually, i will apply two layers to my skin, to intensify the colour!

The Bondi Sands foam applies really easily, and blends beautifully. Even with my fair skin, it still looks incredibly natural. I usually apply two layers to my skin, and it still looks smooth and flawless. This tan typically lasts about a week for me, and blends away nicely. I rarely ever see patchiness, and if i do, its usually on my arms- which blends away easily in the shower.
What are my final thoughts on this product? I love it! Although i don't apply fake tan often, when i do, i reach for this one every time! It applies and blends beautifully into the skin and always looks natural! I have used the same bottle of product around 7 applications, which i use 2 coats of each time, so basically 14 applications and its only a little less than halfway full! You really get your moneys worth out of this product
I would recommend the Bondi Sands Foam to everyone i know!
If you know of any good self tanner for fair skin, let me know!
Thank you for reading!
